Maryland is one of two states selected by national roadway safety organizations for a comprehensive speed reduction pilot program that could ultimately be duplicated in other states and communities. The project – which will take place through September along Route 376 in the rural Eastern Shore community of Bishopville in Worcester County – was made possible by the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA), Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and National Road Safety Foundation (NRSF).
